A Christmas Romance, Without The Festivities

I recently finished reading Wreck The Halls by Tessa Bailey.

This is my 3rd book by Tessa Bailey. I have a love-hate relationship with her writing and at this point, all my reviews are probably gonna sound the same, this is my least favorite of all her books so far and I'll explain why.

I like her books because she KNOWS how to write great well-rounded romcom characters, she writes some of the most interesting, layered plots, and her style of writing is engaging. Only thing I hate? The Insta lust coming off the characters in waves and the super cringe sex scenes. It feels like she just can't wait to get into the story and it literally makes me want to not open the book again.

But, the characters and plot just keep making me want to go back to it. One thing I can say is, the "love" between Beat and Melody is just as weird as their name, all the same, I can assure you that if you do decide to read it, you won't be bored by their story. I wanted a more festive read, however.
