Against All Odds

This is the OwlCrate May 2023 box. This box has items in it inspired by Lord of the Rings, The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea, Dance of Thieves, Six Crimson Cranes, A Magic Steeped in Poison, Daughter of the Moon Goddess, and We Hunt the Flame! These books have been added to my TBR if they weren't already there.

This is the theme card as well as the spoiler card on the back. I thought that the artwork was super pretty and minimalist, but I enjoyed it a lot.

Overall, the May 2023 Box, Against All Odds items fit the theme so well. I was very pleased with each of the items, and the thought that was put into them regarding the theme, and inspired books to meet it. My favorite item this month was the wax seal, but I love the idea of adding a little extra flare to letters and love that it's book themed. There is also a Spotify playlist, the differences between the original and exclusive cover designs, interviews, books related to the book of the month, and other amazing March releases can all be found in the themed packet.

June's theme is If the Fates Allow, and is a thrilling story filled to the brim with murder and mayhem! Our protagonist finds herself in the middle of a dastardly plot when she makes a horrific discovery. She must follow clues through the most dangerous parts of the city and unearth secrets that have remained undisturbed for years if she is to save everything she cares about.
