April Showers Brings... A Book Haul

I hope everyone had a wonderful start to spring. I cannot believe that it is already May! Excited for a new season of reading!

The first book in my haul is The London Séance Society by Sarah Penner. This is my book club's May book. "A spellbinding tale about two daring women who hunt for truth and justice in the perilous art of conjuring the dead."

The second book in my haul is How The King of Elfhame Learned To Hate Stories by Holly Black. "An irresistible return to the captivating world of Elfhame."

The third book in my book haul is Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard. This is book #2 in the Red Queen series. "If there’s one thing Mare Barrow knows, it’s that she’s different."

The fourth book in my haul is The Red Arrow by William Brewer. Big shoutout to William for sending me this finished copy. "When a once-promising young writer agrees to ghostwrite a famous physicist's memoir, his livelihood is already in jeopardy: Plagued by debt, he's grown distant from his wife--a successful AI designer--and is haunted by an overwhelming sense of dread he describes as "The Mist.""

The fifth book in my haul is Silver in the Bone by Alexandra Bracken. This is book #1 Silver in the Bone series.

This is the April OwlCrate book. For the Owlcrate edition, check out my April unboxing. I will be reading this with my OwlCrate friends for the read-along, date TBD. The sixth book in my haul is Saved By Hope by Jenny Lowe. Big shoutout to the author for sending me this finished copy. "Jenny Lowe was 34 when she sought help from fertility specialists. An unsuccessful IVF attempt to conceive her first child left her painfully aware of the sting and stigma surrounding infertility, and brought her face to face with something insidious fighting against her."

The seventh book in my haul is A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman. During my April book club, we each "sold" a book to each other while at a local, independent book store. This is the book that was "sold" to me.

I am so excited for this book haul and thankful for all the authors and publishers that sent these books my way, and the friends and family that spoiled me!
