August TBR

We are entering the last month of the season with a new set of books to read. These books are in no particular order, but all of them are books that I hope to get to this month!

The first book is Sleep Like Death by Kalynn Bayron. This is the July 2024 YA OwlCrate book.

"Only the truly desperate - and foolish - seek out the Knight, an ancient monster who twists wishes into curses."

The second book is Evocation by S.T. Gibson. This is OwlCrate's May Adult book. This is book #1 in the Summoner's Circle series.

"The Devil knows your name, David Aristarkhov."

The third book is First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston. This is my book club's choice for the month.

"Evie Porter has everything a nice, Southern girl could want: a perfect, doting boyfriend, a house with a white picket fence and a garden, a fancy group of friends. The only catch: Evie Porter doesn’t exist."

The fourth book is Not in Love by Ali Hazelwood. I am doing a buddy read with Jenna for this book.

"A forbidden, secret affair proves that all’s fair in love and science."

The fifth book is Garden of the Cursed by Katy Rose Pool. This is book #1 in the Garden of the Cursed series. I am rereading in anticipation for book #2.

"Since fleeing the gilded halls of Evergarden for the muck-filled canals of the Marshes, Marlow Briggs has made a name for herself as the best godsdamn cursebreaker in Caraza City."

The sixth book is Masquerade of the Heart by Katy Rose Pool. This is book #2 in the Garden of the Cursed series.

"Cursebreaker Marlow Briggs must deal with the aftermath of her fake romance with one of the most powerful nobles in the illustrious—and deadly—Evergarden society , all while uncovering the mystery behind her mother's disappearance."

The seventh book is Lives of Saints by Leigh Bardugo.

"These tales include miracles and martyrdoms from familiar saints like Sankta Lizabeta of the Roses and Sankt Ilya in Chains, to the strange and obscure stories of Sankta Ursula, Sankta Maradi, and the Starless Saint."

Those are the 7 books that I have on my August TBR. Hopefully, I will be able to get through most, if not all of them, and who knows if more books will get added on. I hope everyone has a happy spring season! Looking forward to sharing my opinions about these books!
