Bleed You Dry

This is the OwlCrate October 2024 box. This box has items in it inspired by Dracula, A Dowry of Blood, Twilight, A Tempest of Tea, and The Serpent and the Wings of Night. These books have been added to my TBR if they weren't already there.

This month features the tenth pin in our Perfect Pairings collection! Each month's box will include a sliding pin featuring characters that pair together in the most fierce, intense, and romantic ways - all designed by Saiyre Art (@saiyre.art)!

The tenth perfect pairing is inspired by The Serpent and the Wings of Night and it depicts the intense enemies-to-lovers dynamic between Oraya and Raihn.

The October Book, Immortal Dark by Tigest Girma, Kidan Adane seeks to find and avenge her missing sister by infiltrating Uxlay University. However, she soon learns that she is the sole heiress to her family legacy and must compete against the cruel yet enthralling Susenyos Sagad—whom she suspects is responsible for her family's misfortunes—for her inheritance.

This signed edition features an exclusive redesigned dust jacket by @best.selling.covers ⁠ and stenciled edges designed by @sajrafox. On the hardback, they have some striking foiled designs done by @lemondragon.co. Inside you'll find gorgeous end pages done by @offthehookstudio. Finally, an author letter and bonus content from Tigest Girma has been bound into the book for subscribers!

Overall, the October 2024 Box, Bleed You Dry items fit the theme so well. I was delighted with each of the items, and the thought that was put into them regarding the theme, and inspired books to meet it. My favorite item this month was the Dracula book pot. There is also a Spotify playlist, the differences between the original and exclusive cover designs, interviews, books related to the book of the month, and other excellent October releases can all be found in the themed packet.

November's theme is Dressed For Revenge and is a sweeping romantic fantasy where one girl seeks revenge against those who betrayed her, including the boy she loved. Framed for a crime she didn't commit, our protagonist works with a fellow prisoner to bring down those who brought them pain with dark magic unlike anything else. In a game of cat and mouse, she is faced with the harsh truth - that her revenge may come at the cost of her humanity.⁠
