Change The Prophecy

This is the OwlCrate Decemeber 2025 YA box. This box has items in it inspired by The Knight and the Moth, An Ember in the Ashes, Percy Jackson, and Legendborn. These books have been added to my TBR if they weren't already there.

It’s soup season, and our mini soup bowl is the perfect addition to a cozy meal. Featuring a beautiful repeating pattern inspired by The Knight and the Moth, this bowl cozy was stunningly designed by Everbrave Co (@bria_danae_).

To round up your cozy reading day, enjoy our tea blend for a nice, comforting drink. Inspired by An Ember in the Ashes, this item features a flavor of mooncakes as if you’re standing right at the Serra Moon Festival, and was deliciously made by Riddle’s Tea Shoppe (@riddlesteashoppe)!

Stay warm this winter season with our adorable beanie inspired by Percy Jackson! Designed by Teresa Chen (@divineliterary), the beanie features a symbol from Camp Half-Blood on a pom-pom style. 

We are ending the year for our enamel pin collection with our pin banner! Featuring a shelf to store all your magical elixir pins, this banner was wonderfully designed by Cade Roach (@heyatlascreative)! 

Here’s the last pin in our 2025 enamel pin collection: Enchanted Elixirs! Each month’s box included a pin featuring magical elements from fantastical worlds, tucked away in a bottle and designed by Layla Ashtar (@layla_ashtar_shrine)!

The twelfth pin in the collection features Legendborn, where love is a powerful thing.

The December book, A Fate So Cold by Amanda Foody and C.L. Herman, features a fate of the tragic kind. In A Fate So Cold, the greatest Summer wand has awoken, warning that a brutal Winter is on the horizon. Ellery will do anything to have the responsibility of the Chosen One and defending Alderald, and Domenic wants anything but that. And yet, the wand chooses Domenic, and Ellery accidentally creates the first-ever Winter wand, proving her fears about her magic. Now the Chosen Two, Domenic and Ellery, must defend Alderald from the cataclysm together. In doing so, they must try not to fall in love while being eternal rivals, where their fates will end in tragedy.

This signed edition features a stunning redesigned cover by @superstarfighter and stenciled edges by @superstarfighter. Turn over the cover for the reversible with gorgeous artwork by @nir4z. On the hardback, we have a printed hardcover case design by @lichen_and_limestone. Inside, you’ll find gorgeous end pages done by @jessichenliu. Finally, an author letter and bonus content from Amanda Foody and C.L. Herman have been bound into the book for subscribers!

Overall, the December 2025 YA Box, Change the Prophecy, items were good. I was delighted with each of the items and the thought that was put into them. My favorite item this month was the pin banner, so I can finally display all of this year's pins.

January's theme is So This Is Love, and it is lush and romantic, with a competition and a hidden deal. The prince is not looking forward to the possible grim ending of what should be a beautiful beginning. He then comes across a girl, who offers her power to wring out the truth from people within the tournament for his new bride in exchange for safekeeping. They make a deal together to survive this tournament and possibly find solace in each other.
