The ninth pin in the collection features Strange the Dreamer, in which the dream chooses the dreamer, not the other way around.

The September book, The Sleepless by Jen Williams, explores a world full of gods and monsters. In The Sleepless, we meet Elver, who was saved from the brink of death and now guards the wild monster forest. She encounters Artair, who is on a mission of his own and somehow the only person immune to her deathly touch. He is one of the Sleepless and must share his body with an evil spirit, Lucian. As they join together, Lucian intends to manipulate Elver for his dark purposes. Elver, however, is not without secrets of her own behind this mission. ⁠

This signed edition features a stunning redesigned cover and stenciled edges by @vera.drmanovski. Turn over the cover for the reversible with gorgeous artwork by @saint.fallen. On the hardback, we have a foil hardcover case design by @heyatlascreative. Inside, you’ll find gorgeous end pages done by @zirael_art. Finally, an author letter and bonus content from Jen Williams have been bound into the book for subscribers!⁠

Overall, the September 2025 YA Box, Dangerous Gods and Beautiful Monsters, items were good. I was delighted with each of the items and the thought that was put into them. My favorite item this month was the blanket. It is perfect for a cozy reading time this fall.

October's theme is A Compendium of Curiosities, and the book is amagical curiosities shop sits in town, where secretly the items are anything but. Our main character is keeping the shop going, but is hanging by a thread until a strange girl comes in, turning those fake items into real magic. She is hiding a secret of her own; she is cursed to make anything she touches into magic. They make a deal that could save them both, and with the help of a handsome printer’s assistant, they embark on an ambitious quest and uncover a plot that goes deeper than they could have ever imagined.
