This is the OwlCrate April 2024 box. This box has items in it, inspired by Sorcery of Thorns, The Fifth Season, Deathless and one fandom-neutral item. These books have been added to my TBR if they weren't already there.

This is the theme card as well as the spoiler card on the back. I thought that the artwork was pretty and minimal.

The April book, Your Blood My Bones by Kelly Andrew, features the most sinister of plots including loyalty, love, and darkness. Wyatt returns to her childhood home she just inherited with a oal to burn it down, only to find the boy she once considered her best friend chained and left for dead. She finds out he's been experiencing a cycle of deaths and the only way to escape is to kill Wyatt. The two must figure out how to repair the magic in the farmhouse in order to survive.

This signed edition features a gorgeous redesigned exclusive cover created by @tropicalgloom with sprayed edges. Turn over the cover for the reversible dust jacket with beautiful artwork by @nir4z . On the hardback, they have some striking foil designs done by @vera.drmanovski. Inside you'll find gorgeous end pages done by @ouijacine . Finally, an author letter from Kelly Andrew has been bound into the book for subscribers!

Overall, the April 2024 Box, Death to the Undying items fit the theme so well. I was delighted with each of the items, and the thought that was put into them regarding the theme, and inspired books to meet it. My favorite item this month was the propagation station. While I might not be a plant parent, I love the design and the quote on it. There is also a Spotify playlist, the differences between the original and exclusive cover designs, interviews, books related to the book of the month, and other excellent December releases can all be found in the themed packet.

May's theme is Traverse the Realms, and features a protagonist who is arranged for an apprenticeship at an esteemed entertainment house. She is unexpectedly called for a private audience with a charming duke, who sweeps her away to his manor to serve as a musician and gain her freedom. Things are not as they seem however, as she barely survives a monster attack, realizes the duke is no mere mortal, and that she has the key to stopping the impending war and saving them all.
