Enchanted To Meet You

This is the OwlCrate January 2024 box. This box has items in it, inspired by Once Upon a Broken Heart, Strange the Dreamer, Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries, Bridgerton, Outlander, Pride and Prejudice, and Howl's Moving Castle. These books have been added to my TBR if they weren't already there.

This is the theme card as well as the spoiler card on the back. I thought that the artwork was pretty and minimal.

Designed by Jordan Fleming (@theproseandcons), their reusable dishcloth features a stunning design inspired by Strange the Dreamer- the perfect item to keep your space pristine and dreamy.

The dishcloth features the quote: "If you're afraid of your own dreams, you're welcome in mine."

What is a fantastical journey without the best companions to tag along? This metal bookmark is the first in one of OwlCrate's new 2024 collections. This collection features all the wonderful, brace, and loyal creatures that are sure to make your reading journey extra special.

This month's bookmark features the magical Shadow from Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries and is beautifully designed by Saiyre (@saiyre.art).

Enter the elegance of the regency world with their coloring kit and postcards. Inspired by Bridgerton, Outlander, and Pride and Prejudice, this set is the perfect activity for some self-care or a romantic night in. Postcards are designed by Vera Drmanovski, pencil crayons designed by Team OwlCrate.

Introducing the 2024 enamal pin collection: Perfect Pairings. Each month's box will include a sliding pin featuring characters that pair together in the most fierce, intense and romantic ways- all designed by Saiyre (@saiyre.art).

To start of the collection, the first perfect pairing features the beloved Howl and Sophie from Howl's Moving Castle. Slide the pins together and you have Sophie bringing Calcifer to Howl.

The January book, A Fragile Enchantment by Allison Saft, introduces us the protagonists Nimah, who jumps at the change to design the weddign attire for the prince, and arrives at Avaland full of hope. Instead, she finds unrest among the working class and a prickly and abrasive groom to be, Kit, who she can't help but get close to. As she tries navigating this unruly kingdom, she finds herself in the middle of a scandal with Kit, all while trying to maintain her magic and survive.

This signed edition features a gorgeous redesigned exclusive cover created by @no0nedesigns and designed by @lichen_and_limestone, with pretty pink sprayed edges and a green ribbon bookmark. Turn over the cover for the reversible dust jacket with beautiful artwork by @giannyfill . On the hardback, they have some striking foil designs done by @lichen_and_limestone. Inside you'll find gorgeous end pages done by @hachandraws . Finally, an author letter and bonus material from Allison Saft has been bound into the book for subscribers!

Overall, the January 2024 Box, Enchanted to Meet You items fit the theme so well. I was delighted with each of the items, and the thought that was put into them regarding the theme, and inspired books to meet it. My favorite item this month was the Once Upon A Broken Heart bag. I'm a sucker for bags, so this is another great addition to have. There is also a Spotify playlist, the differences between the original and exclusive cover designs, interviews, books related to the book of the month, and other excellent December releases can all be found in the themed packet.
