If The Fates Allow

This is the OwlCrate June 2023 box. This box has items in it inspired by The Song of Achilles, Percy Jackson, The Scorpio Races, and The Raven Boys as well as a Norse Mythology fandom-neutral item. These books have been added to my TBR if they weren't already there.

This is the theme card as well as the spoiler card on the back. I thought that the artwork was super pretty and minimalist, but I enjoyed it a lot.

Inspired by Percy Jackson and the Olympians, this enamel pendant features iconic designs representing both Percy and Annabeth. Designed by @keelystudios, this is the perfect item to wear as you enter Camp Half-Blood.

For those who seek the hopeless romantic in themselves, reflect on the story of The Song of Achilles with this stunning hand mirror. Featuring beautiful artwork by @vitkovskaya_art, this mirror is sure to remind us of the true love of Achilles and Patroclus.

Protect your tables from wayward burns and place your warm and cozy dishes on this ceramic trivet. Lovingly illustrated by @pauhami, this trivet features a quote from Neil Gaiman and amazing artwork from the tales of Norse Mythology.

From sea to sea, find yourself enjoying a nice day on the island of Thisby with this picnic blanket. This is perfect for fans of The Scorpio Races and features a gorgeous design by @janinelecour and @divineliterary.

This month's treasured tomes enamel pin is the sixth in the 2023 pin collection. Each month's box will include a book-styled pin featuring in-universe references to many beloved books and fandoms- all designed by @no0nedesgins!

Read through Gansey's journal and join the Raven Boys on their quest, though you should be careful of what you may discover.

The June book is inspired by Greek mythology filled with dark and mysterious conspiracies.

We're introduced to our heroine Io, who is a descendant of the Greek Fates and is able to cut people's threads. She spends her time doing detective work that escalates once she's thrown into a murder mystery, all while grappling with the fact that she has to work with Edei, the person she shares a soulmate fate thread with since before they had even met.

This signed edition features a clear vinyl cover dust jacket with a pre-printed foiled hardcover case underneath, all designed by @lichen_and_limestone. The book also has dazzling foiled end pages with artwork created by @lilith_saur and @lichen_and_limestone. An author Letter from Kika Hatzopoulou is bound into the book, along with exclusive bonus content of Edei's POV for subscribers.

Overall, the June 2023 Box, If The Fates Allow items fit the theme so well. I was very pleased with each of the items, and the thought that was put into them regarding the theme, and inspired books to meet it. My favorite item this month was the book Threads That Bind because I love the holographic foiling. There is also a Spotify playlist, the differences between the original and exclusive cover designs, interviews, books related to the book of the month, and other amazing June releases can all be found in the themed packet.

July's theme is Break The Curse is a thrilling story of mysteries and deadly curses! Our protagonist is thrown back into the illustrious society she once called home. She makes a deal with one of the most powerful nobles to solve her mother’s disappearance. In doing so, she starts uncovering more secrets and than she was ever ready for.
