We are entering the first month of the new year with a new set of books to read. These books are in no particular order, but all of them are books that I hope to get to this month!

The first book is What the Woods Took by Courtney Gould. This is the December 2024 YA OwlCrate book.

"Devin Green wakes in the middle of the night to find two men in her bedroom."

The second book is The Stars Are Dying by Chloe C. Peñaranda. This is book #1 in the Nytefall series. This is OwlCrate's October Adult book.

"In a world abandoned by the celestial guardians and left to suffer a tyrant king’s reign, all Astraea knows is safety in seclusion."

The third book is Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling. This is book #1 in the Harry Potter series. This is my book club's January choice, and I am so excited for this re-read!

"Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive."

The fourth book is Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. This is book #1 in the Empyrean series, and I am re-reading it in anticipation for Onyx Storm (going 1/21!).

"Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history."

The fifth book is Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros. This is book #2 in the Empyrean series, and I am re-reading it in anticipation for Onyx Storm (going 1/21!).

"Everyone expected Violet Sorrengail to die during her first year at Basgiath War College—Violet included."

The sixth book is Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros. This is book #3 in the Empyrean series.

"After nearly eighteen months at Basgiath War College, Violet Sorrengail knows there’s no more time for lessons."

Those are the 6 books that I have on my January TBR. Hopefully, I will be able to get through most, if not all of them, and who knows if more books will get added on. I hope everyone has a happy spring season! Looking forward to sharing my opinions about these books!

We have officially entered month 1 for the 2025 Goodreads challenge. I have currently read 0/60 books this year. Keep up to date with me and my book adventures on Instagram @thebooklover5, as well as check out my StoryGraph and Goodreads pages, and don't forget to subscribe to my blog for the latest updates on my reading world!

Until next time, Happy Reading :)
