This is the OwlCrate November 2023 box. This box has items in it, inspired by Starless Sea, A Darker Shade of Magic, Silver in the Bone, and Lord of the Rings. These books have been added to my TBR if they weren't already there.

This is the theme card as well as the spoiler card on the back. I thought that the artwork was pretty but it was lacking in the creativity that I wanted. In other words, it could have given more.

Enter a new fantastical world with their next story doorway. Designed with love by Icewreath (@icewreath), this item is inspired by The Starless Sea.

Travel far and wide, and display them on your shelves in front of book spines or stacks, or as a bookend to hold the many other stories you love to wander through.

Get ready because the annual reading planner is here. Inspired by the journeys and magic that we encounter through our favorite books and stories, this reading planner is the perfect way to track and plan anything and everything for the 2024 year.

Beautifully designed by Jordan Fleming (@theproseandcons) and Michelle Gray (@themichellegray), this is an item you'll find yourself using for all the practical and creative things.

Jump through the four Londons with the A Darker Shade of Magic wooden bookmark. Featuring the faves Kell and Lila, this wooden bookmark was stunningly designed by Sajra Fox (@sajrafox) and Lichen and Limestone.

Be prepared for any journey with their card holder. Inspired by Silver in the Bone, this item is a must have, even when confronting the most deadly of magic. This item was designed with love by The Bitter Season (@thebitterseason).

This month's treasured tomes enamel pin is the eleventh in the 2023 pin collection. Each month's box will include a book-styled pin featuring in-universe references to many beloved books and fandoms- all designed by @no0nedesgins!

Not all those who wander are lost within the Lord of The Rings.

The November book, What the River Knows by Isabel Ibañez, introduces us to Inez, who travels to Cairo in search of answers to her parents' deaths, leading to a whirlwind path to the truth alongside her guardian's infuriatingly handsome assistant. This signed edition features a gorgeous redesigned exclusive cover by @micaelaalcainodesign with colorful stenciled edges by @tylermileslockett . Turn over the cover for the reversible dust jacket with beautiful artwork by @artnicoleta . On the hardback, they have some striking foil designs done by @divineliterary . Inside you'll find gorgeous end pages done by @zirael.art . Finally, an author letter and bonus material from Isabel Ibañez has been bound into the book for subscribers!

Overall, the November 2023 Box, Perilous Travels items fit the theme so well. I was delighted with each of the items, and the thought that was put into them regarding the theme, and inspired books to meet it. My favorite item this month was the reading planner. I love being able to track my reading progress throughout the year. There is also a Spotify playlist, the differences between the original and exclusive cover designs, interviews, books related to the book of the month, and other excellent November releases can all be found in the themed packet.

I would definitely recommend an OwlCrate subscription to all of my book friends and readers in general. Here's the website if interested https://www.owlcrate.com

December's theme is The Dark Devours, and is a fantasy horror about a kingdom left to darkness. The kingdom is on the verge of collapse, and our two main protagonists are thrust into a dangerous mission to save everyone. One of them is filled with darkness while the other is fierce and defiant, and they must join together to embark on a journey into the dark lands and uncover the evil and secrets in the shadows. But the only way to fight the darkness…is to become it.

I hope you all enjoyed this review of the November 2023 OwlCrate box. I'm excited to read What The River Knows, and use all of my themed items, some as decorations on my shelves!

Happy reading :)
